The hammam is Turkey's oldest ritual of rest, and this is its invigorating form — thirty minutes of heat, scrub, and foam that leave you cleaner, lighter, and wide awake. Done properly, in Yunak Spa's own marble hammam, by therapists who have made an art of it.

You begin reclining on the heated göbek taşı, the marble platform at the heart of the hammam, as the warmth opens the skin. Then the kese — the traditional exfoliating scrub that lifts away what a shower never reaches — worked with firmer pressure and dynamic movement. It finishes with the signature Turkish foam wash: cascades of warm, cloud-soft lather worked over the whole body and rinsed with water poured from the marble basins.

This is the energetic ritual — brisker and more revitalizing than a slow massage, the version to choose when you want to feel reset and back on your feet. No experience needed, nothing to bring, nothing to arrange: the hammam is on-site and everything is provided. Just book your time and arrive.

On arrival. Check in at Yunak Spa reception a few minutes early. You're shown to the changing area and given everything you need — peştemal (traditional wrap), slippers, and a private space to prepare. No swimwear required.

Warming on the göbek taşı. The ritual opens on the heated marble platform. A few minutes of rising warmth soften the skin and loosen the body — the step that makes everything after it work.

The kese scrub. Your therapist works the traditional exfoliating mitt over the whole body with firm, dynamic pressure, lifting away dead skin the way only a real kese can.

The Turkish foam wash. The signature moment — mountains of warm, soft foam worked over the body from a traditional cloth, then rinsed with warm water. Cleansing and energizing at once.

Rest & tea. A moment to cool down, rehydrate, and let the ritual settle before you dress. Your skin will feel it for days.

This is the brisk, energizing one. Thirty minutes, firmer pressure, dynamic movement — choose it when you want to feel revitalized and quickly back to your day. If you'd rather melt slowly into the marble with more technique and time, the 45-minute Ottoman Hammam is the indulgent alternative.

Hydrate before and after. The heat and steam draw more out of you than you'd expect. Water before, and the tea afterward, aren't ceremony — they're the point.

Don't shave right beforehand. Freshly shaved skin plus a vigorous kese is a recipe for irritation. Leave a day between shaving and your hammam if you can.

Come with skin, leave the swimsuit. The peştemal is worn throughout and everything is provided. Modesty is respected at every step.

Speak up on pressure. The ritual has a rhythm — relax into it — but the kese pressure is adjustable. A word tunes it firmer or gentler.

Skin that glows for days. Exfoliation reveals fresh skin, so go easy on sun exposure right after and moisturize well. The softness outlasts the half hour by far.

Perfect after an active day. A Red or Green tour, an ATV ride, hours on ancient marble — the hammam is the body's reward. Book it for the evening of your most physical day.

• No refund for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment, or for no-shows

• All time limits are calculated according to the local time of the spa (GMT+3)

Booking and payment

• Booking is confirmed instantly on successful payment; your appointment time is reserved on confirmation

• Payment is taken in full online at booking — nothing further is collected at the spa

Appointments and timing

• Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your appointment to change and prepare; late arrival may shorten the treatment, as the following appointment cannot be delayed

• Treatments are by appointment only; availability is confirmed for your chosen date and time at booking

Health and suitability

• Please inform the spa at booking of any health condition relevant to heat and treatment — including pregnancy, heart or circulatory conditions, high or low blood pressure, recent surgery, skin conditions, or allergies. The hammam involves heat, steam, and vigorous exfoliation

• The traditional hammam is generally not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with certain cardiovascular conditions; please consult your physician if unsure, and advise us so the therapist can adapt or recommend a gentler treatment

• Guests under the influence of alcohol may be declined service for their own safety, without refund

• Single-sex sessions and privacy arrangements can be requested at booking, subject to the spa's schedule

Liability, insurance, data, and governing law

• The treatment is delivered by the hotel's licensed spa under its own professional standards and insurance; Pienti Travel / the property arranges the booking

• Guests are responsible for disclosing relevant health information; claims arising from undisclosed conditions are excluded to the extent permitted by law

• Personal belongings are the guest's responsibility; secure storage is provided
